Hey, everyone. So I wanna talk about something that is near and dear to my heart, and that if you know me, you know that I am a big fan of Having people understand what’s going on inside their body, even when they don’t wanna know what’s going on inside, because I think that matters. I think you being empowered and knowing what’s happening is so important.
So why does understanding matter so much? Because your body is talking to you, and most of us were never taught that language. Y- fatigue is not laziness. Cravings aren’t just a character flaw. And brain fog isn’t just about getting older. All of these things are signals. It’s your body’s way of saying to you, “Hey, something upstream is off.”
And because everything in the body is connected, one root imbalance can m- speak through many symptoms in many ways all at once. So here’s why so many people feel so completely lost, because conventional medicine doesn’t speak this language at all. You sit in the office, you describe what you’re feeling, and instead of someone saying to you, “What’s your body trying to tell us?”
you’re handed a prescription, a medication Band-Aid placed over the symptom while the message underneath goes completely unheard. So it’s not that your doctor doesn’t care, it’s that the system was never built to make these connections. It was built to match the symptoms to the pills in, like, seven-minute visits.
So you walk out with a prescription and the same unanswered question: “Why is this happening to me?” And if no one has ever asked you that question, like really asked, that’s not a reflection on you. That’s the gap, and it’s the gap that I am living to fill. Because when you learn how to read those signals, you stop fighting your body, and you start working with it.
That’s not a small shift. That is the whole game. And what I’m gonna tell you also is that AI can’t fix that game. You can do all of the labs, you can put them into AI, you can get back a summary, and even a touch point of what to do. But if you don’t have a clinician who knows how to diagnostically put these p- puzzle pieces together, you’re still dealing with the same unanswered question of what is the root cause.
‘Cause I’ll tell you what, AI can’t fix that for you, okay? Also, you can’t heal what you don’t understand. Chronic long-term issues don’t show up overnight. They build silently, sometimes for years, and sometimes it’s decades. Covering up symptoms without understanding the root cause is like- Putting tape over your check engine light, okay?
Sure, it’s not lighting up your dashboard, but the engine still has a problem. So understanding what’s going on lets you look under the hood, right? Because understanding turns the, “I have to do this,” into the, “I wanna do this.” And that’s where the mindset piece becomes everything, because when you deeply get to the why- That doing morning light, you know, getting morning sun really matters.
Why does food really matter? Why sleep is not optional. Like, those choices stop feeling like a sacrifice, and they start feeling like self-respect. There’s a big difference there. You’re not depriving yourself. I hear this all the time, “Oh, I can’t eat good food.” No, it turns from you’re not depriving yourself to you’re taking care of someone, you, who matters, which is you.
Okay? Your beliefs about your body literally shape your choices. So what you think shapes what you do, and what you do shapes your biology. Mindset is not fluff. It is physiology. It is what happens, because when life throws a curveball, understanding is what’s gonna keep you standing straight, right? The, the rules break the moment, right?
The rules of engagement, let’s say, break the moment the reality doesn’t match the plan. Meaning things like travel and stress and holidays and a hard week. Like, if that’s all you have in your rule book, you’re gonna be lost, right? Because you can’t… If you just have a here’s a one-size-fits-all approach, anytime you travel, anytime you have extra stress, anytime you’re dealing with a holiday or a crappy week, that’s not in your, in your plan, and then you’re gonna either go off or you’re gonna feel lost, and you feel like you’re starting over, right?
But if you understand the principles, if you understand what’s happening, you can adapt anywhere, anytime, in any circumstance. That’s the difference between renting your health and really owning your health because you were never meant to outsource your health, not to a internet profile, not to a prescriber.
You’re the one living in your body. You are the one who feels what it feels. The most powerful thing you can do is become a student of your own biology. I talk about that all the time. I am my best student of my body. Stay curious. Stay engaged. Ask questions, because nobody’s gonna care about your health as much as you do.
So let’s make sure you have the tools and you’re well-equipped, right? Because you are more than just the biochemistry. Your energy, every cell in your body is running on energy. Your energy if you’re expansive, if you’re open, if you are optimistic versus contracted, right? That’s real. That depression, that sadness, that failure feeling.
Like, your mitochondria actually convert- the food into light. Like, that’s a real thing, right? And your breath, your breathing powers your physiology. Your thoughts, your stress, your beliefs, these are not separate from your biology. They are part of your biology, and they send real signals that your cells respond to.
This is why mindset isn’t a nice add-on to healing. It is woven into the very physics of it. And when you understand that you’re energetic, that you are energy, and you’re an energetic being connected s- to something larger than yourself, taking care of your body stops being a chore. It becomes an act of honoring the light, the life that you were given.
So here’s what I’m asking of you. I want you to be patient with the process. Your current state of health, or lack thereof, took years to build. It was not months. It was not weeks. So giving yourself only a few weeks to truly understand before, like, jumping into action is smart. You definitely wanna do things as a process because every quick fix that you tried has proven that skipping the part about understanding what’s going on inside your body just doesn’t work.
Don’t act on the first thing that you see on the internet. Don’t just go into action to do something. Clearly, that’s instinctual. Clearly, it’s emotional. But… And it feels wrong, right? We want action now. We wanna take action now. But if you act without understanding what’s going on, that’s exactly why things have failed before.
So I want you to pause. I want you to learn. I want you to build the foundation and then act with intention because that’s where change actually lasts. So ask the questions, right? This isn’t a lecture. It’s a conversation. You shouldn’t get a lecture from your doctor. I never lecture my clients.
It’s a conversation. If something doesn’t make sense, say so. If something doesn’t feel right, advocate for yourself. If your situation feels different, tell me. Your questions make this work better for everyone. So look, you don’t need another diet. You certainly don’t need more rules, and you definitely don’t need one more person telling you everything is just fine.
Something real is going on in your body, and it’s connected, and it’s explainable, and it’s addressable. So when you finally understand the why behind what you’re feeling, the what part will take care of itself, and that’s where everything changes, and that is the work that I love to do.
